Busy, Busy Day!

 We had another busy fun filled day with Uncle Jimbo! Our day started off with a visit to the La Brea Tar pits.

Its was CrAzY to see the ROWS of different bones they had found on the tar pit site.

Our next stop of the day was the California Science Center.

What an AWESOME thing to be able to go see! A real spaceship up close. To be honest it didn't look as sturdy as I thought it would. The black tiles were all individually placed on the ship and the white part also looked like it had been patched worked together. But clearly it was made with great care and craftsmanship since it had been able to make SO many trips back and forth to space.

It was neat to walk underneath the ship and see the tiles that had been effected by the heat.

Luckily enough for us, the Olympic stadium was right next door, so we had to stop and take a peek. 

Our next stop was the famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

Miss outgoing Lainey had to stop and say hi to everyone, the only problem with that is you have to pay all the characters just to have your picture taken :/ So instead we took her picture with only Minnie (I snapped the picture of Mickey without him knowing) and let her say a simple HI to all the other characters.

When we were last in Hollywood, 6 years ago, we had lunch at this Hooters. Michael was about 4 years ago and had made the comment, "Why are all the girls wearing underwear?" So it only seemed fitting that we eat there again so he could ask his question again ;)

10 years old and already a ham with the ladies :)

Of course then EVERYONE wanted their pictures with the ladies!

A trip to California wouldn't be complete with out seeing the Hollywood sign!

Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach is where we headed today.

If you look close enough you can see 1 of the 2 dolphins that were swimming close by us at the ocean today! Of course I wasn't fast enough with my camera when 1 of them actually jumped out of the water :/

My little loves had so much fun today!

And they all worked together when Michael wanted to get buried :)

Mackenzie and I made a little castle for Queen Mona.

Loads of fun was had by all, and hopefully we'll get out there one more time before we head home!

Vacation Time!!!!

We finally got enough funds together to take a real family vacation!

We boarded the plane and headed out to California to Visit my Uncle and Aunt. And of course hit up Disney!!

I was VERY nervous about the plane ride. But yet again my little loves surprised me and did rather well. I had tons of things to keep them occupied, in fact I had to much stuff, but at least they stayed entertained and did just fine!

Let the vacation begin!!

Mother's Day

Yes, WAY back in May we went to the zoo on Mothers Day

 What I thought was going to be a cool day turned out to be a gorgeous 80 degree day! And the animals were all out and active that day.

There is nothing that puts a smile on my face more than a Dad and his little girls :)

And the Zoo wouldn't be complete without a train ride at the end

Spring Fling

Mackenzie was SOOO excited about the spring fling the 4k students had put together. She was lucky to land the lead role as the person to kick off the show!

Mackenzie where are you!?

This was the only picture I was able to get of Mackenzie that her face wasn't hidden. Its so hard as a parent to find just the right spot to sit to get that perfect view...

In the end it was a great show, even if I didn't get that perfect picture of her.

Baseball season

Baseball season has officially begun, well it did about 3 weeks ago...

Landon took the year off last year but decided to play this year since Steve is coaching. And oh how I love watching these two play together and cheer each other on!

Landon is a little rusty, but he sure isn't afraid to go out there and give it his all. 

They won their first game and got to do the celebratory run around the bases after the game was over. 

Now we just have to work on getting another win under their belt.
