State fair

We almost didn't make it to State Fair this year because Steve wasn't able to get a day off. So rather than miss it completely, I pack up my tribe and braved the crowds by myself.

We saw a few animals, then headed over to the kids pavilion.

And they put their heads in SEVERAL cutouts.

Next was a trip down the giant pig...

Followed by the ever popular pig races!

You can't go to State Fair without getting a cream puff! We however opted to take ours home and enjoy them there.

Micheal didn't want to have one, but the other kids and I gobbled up ours.

Thank you State Fair, already looking forward to the goodies next year!!

Daddy's girls

The boys headed up north this weekend for their annual ATVing adventure with my parents. I unfortunately had to work 12 hours Saturday and Sunday so that meant LOTS of Daddy/Daughter bonding time.

We took the girls out for dinner on Friday night and did a little grocery shopping on the way home. As I was tucking Mackenzie in bed that night she says to me "mom I had a good day today" who new a little dinner out and grocery shopping with out the boys would be so fun.

Saturday morning Steve headed into town for our little fair. They sat at the end of  the parade route and got handed handfuls of candy! So much in fact that it filled up this bag that someone graciously gave Steve to put all the candy in, lets just say the girls were in HEAVEN!

They then spent some time playing at the park, making masks...

and meeting this furry red guy. I'm really hoping Lainey doesn't show up at my bedside at 3am with this "lovely" mask on...can you say Freddy Kruger...YIKES!

Later that evening Steven set up shop outside for a little movie and campfire.

These girls were definitely on cloud nine! The minute I walked in the door from work there was nonstop chatter about all the fun they had with dad.

Looks like we may have to do a little Daddy/daughter time more often!

And then he was 8

Oops! I thought I had published this, but I guess not, so better late than never.

Landon celebrated his birthday with a few friends at our house last week.

From the minute the kids arrived he was asking me if he could open presents, so after pizza I said go to it.

Hmmm, can you see anything??? Cause I surely couldn't.

His loot

And of course cake!

Happy Birthday Dear Landon!

Lisa's Shower

I was honored to help throw a shower for my sister in law Lisa today. We are all so EXCITED to meet this long awaited little boy, so today we showered Lisa and Mr Pickles with some love.

Pinterest has been my favorite go to site the last few weeks. I found several fun ideas there, and I must say, I think they were all a success.

There were pleasantly of drinks to keep us cool.

And there were enough sweets to keeping us running all night long!

I made sure to try to send home as many sweets as I could ;)

Photo Booth Fun!

The Belly!

The nieces.

When there's a shower there's games, and games mean prizes ;)

Gifts for the Mamma to be.

Looks like Lisa and Jeff will be covered for diapers for a bit!
