Seasons over...

Our baseball season has come to an end. The team finished 2/10. It was fun to watch them get better as the season went on. The went from hardly swinging the bat to giving it their all at the plate.

Their throwing and making plays improved, but there is still room for improvement.

I'm looking forward to next year!

4th of July Fun!

I love how much a year has changed these kids, last year we had to beg some of them to try tubing...

This year they were begging us to take them over and over again!

Feeling a little left out, Alex gladly joined the kids for a swim in the lake.

On our final spin around the lake, just as we stopped the boat, this little guy jumped in the back of the boat!

I can honestly say in my 30+ years going out there, I've never had that happen before.

We also have had almost NO wildlife at our campsite. Mainly because we camp on an island and the only way to reach it is by boat. But in the last few years we have been seeing more and more wildlife. First chipmunks, then raccoon's, last year the beavers cut down several trees and we spotted a few deer and this weekend we witness 2 deer swim across the lake and join us on the island.

The kids enjoyed a little story time with Aunt Jenny before heading out for the fireworks.

Poor Alex felt left out, so Andy gave her a little one on one time ;)

The girls had some pre-firework fun with the glow sticks

We loaded up the boats and headed out to the fireworks.

(sorry for the blurry pics from the pitch dark)

There's no better way to watch fireworks then in a boat on the water!

It was another fun-filled weekend spent with my 6 favorite little people!

Ok, so there were a few big people that I enjoyed spending time with too ;)

Swim and Strawberries

Our first week of swim is officially in the books! And Lainey was super excited to be part of the class this year and not just watching from the balcony!

Michael working on his crawl,

 the backstroke,

and his diving.

After swim we headed over to get our picking on. And how nice of the drive to offer to take our picture so I too could actually be in it :)

There were plenty of juicy ones to be found!

I have the worlds best pickers!!

I'd say we made a good hauling!

Sunday Funday!

This past Sunday was the Annual Schneider picnic. This year Mary held it, which is always nice cause the kids sure have a blast splashing around in the pool!

As usually it took Landon awhile to get in the pool, but once he got in, he had a blast!

And well, Miss Lainey doesn't wait a second to get in the pool!

After all those roller coasters she rode in California, Mackenzie wasn't the least bit afraid of this little slide ;)
The Bean bag competition was again played this year, however Michael & Grandma were quickly taken out and were not able to retain their crown this year :/

Kudos to Lori and Andy, who pulled out the WIN!

We finished the day with a few serious games of JUMBO Jenga!

Backyard Bonfire

Last Friday our town did their 4th of July fireworks. Luckily for us, we can sit in our back yard and see the air ones pretty good! So Steve got the fired started, we cooked up a few s'mores and sat back to enjoyed the show.

Sorry Landon, somehow I forgot to get your s'more face :/

Swimming with the Jourdans

Today we were able to cross off our first outing from the bucket list! We headed up to Vinny & Sophie's to try out their outdoor pool.

The kids all had a blast!

This little girl is a fish that has no fear of swimming under water and venturing off to areas that are a little too deep for her. Thank goodness the lifeguard had a close eye on this water bug ;)

Landon was the first to venture down the slide by himself.

Shelley and I took the others down once, and they too were quickly hooked!

They were brave enough to climb up and head down all on their own after that :)
