Discovery World

Wow I can't believe its been almost a year since I've posted here! Well I surely have some catching up to do. I have tons of pics and outings I need to post about and now that the kids are headed back to school next week I'll have more time to sit down and get them posted. Some pics will be from months again, and some out of sequence, but my goal is to still get them posted so my loves have the memories to look back at. 

We are finishing up our last week of summer before school starts and took advantage of the cool weather and headed indoors to Discovery world this week. 

This is probably the longest they have ever sat still ;)

Bookworm Gardens

We did make up a bucket list this summer because we has put in the pool. But we still did find some time to take a few ventures away from home

Bookworm gardens is always one of our favorite places to go...well for most of the kids anyways ;) 

State Fair

Everyone in, and we're off!!

A trip to the State Fair wouldn't be complete without cheering on the pig races!

And of course a ride down the famous pig slide!

And lots, and lots of animals!

There's no better way to end the day, then with milk samples galore!

Boy scout event to Police station

When you are a scout, you MUST ride in style! How fun that one of the scouts Dads own a limousine company and he offered to drive up to the police station!

Packer Tailgate

Back in October Steve to the kids to my Dads Lions club annual packer party while I had to work.

I always ask him to take pictures when he takes them out, but don't always get a lot. But at least he managed to get a picture of them with former Packer player Craig Newsome.

Baking with my girlies

Is that time of the year for a little Christmas cookie baking. The girls and I got our aprons on and went to work.

 

We made 3 different cookies, so they have a variety to choose from.

We even made sure to make Daddy's favorites.

They are little pros, looks like we'll have to do some more baking soon!

Boy scouts camp fire

Before the weather got cold, we were able to have one last fire for the year. One of the local farmers was gracious to allow us his land for the fire. Before we got taxied down to the fire, Miss Lainey had to get a picture with Smokey the Bear.

Smokey arrived in this super cool old fire truck!
