Happy Thanksgiving!

Today I am grateful for 4 amazingly beautiful little loves, and the wonderful husband who help bring them into our lives. Yes we have our ups and downs during our day to day activities with them, but in the end they are happy, healthy and perfect!

This year we enjoyed our dinner by sister and brother in laws new house. As always its nice to not be the one who gets all stressed out making sure everything is perfect. This year It was Tricia's turn and she did an amazing job!

The meal was wonderful, the company was even better, so what more could we ask for.

Michael was gifted a guitar last year by Grandma Schneider. She had told him he needed to learn to play Silent night by this x-mas. So he brought along his guitar so Uncle Andy could give him a quick lesson.
He intently watched as Andy got it tuned to perfection.

And then the 2 went to work practing away. By the time we left Michal had memorized the first few cords of the song! I was rather impressed, I found myself tearing up a bit. My little Michael is growing up so quick, gosh how I would love for him to keep showing interest in playing!

Thank goodness Aunt Tricia had a draw full of old toys to help keep the kids entertained during the day!

And while the kids run around the house like crazy, the parents relaxed, closed their eyes while they could and enjoyed their turkey coma.

I'm so grateful this little lady was able to join us today! I still find it hard to have just her with us and not Grandpa too, but I will enjoy her and that lovely smile as long as I can!

As always my favorite part of the meal, desert table! I made sure to have 1 small piece of each as to not over due it, and let me tell you it was so tempting to go back for more!

Happy Halloween

For an October day we had perfect weather for trick or treating. In fact I think today has probably been the best weather we've ever had. It was 50 and sunny. Let me tell you costumes look way better when you don't have to wear layers of clothes underneath them.  A light jacket worked just fine today.

This little gal did great today. I brought a stroller because I wasn't sure just how much walking she would do. She quickly got a hang of this door to door thing, and kept up with the bigger kids rather well. So well, that I think I pushed an empty stroller more than I pushed a full one.

Checking out their loot with our favorite friend Haiden.

One thing I did discover today is that the older they get, the faster they run from house to house. I was so grateful the boys opted to wear their old play packer uniforms. It made it a lot easier for me to spot them out as they were dashing from door to door ;)

Pumpkin Carving

While waiting for the kids to get home from school I got the table prepped for pumpkin carving and brought the pumpkins in to warm up from the cold.

Off to work they went cleaning out the pumpkin guts.

And taking a good look inside to make sure they got everything out!

This is the first year the boys cut out their design all by themselves. I drew the design they wanted on the pumpkins and away they went. And let me tell you it was much easier for me to only carve out 2 pumpkins instead of 4 ;)

 The finished products!

Happy Birthday Lainey Bug

Three years ago I was awaiting the arrival of my last little love. After a quick 3 hour labor we were blessed with our final surprise, another little girl. Our family of 5 quickly turned into a family of 6 and ever so perfectly evened out our family to 2 boys and 2 girls.

Thank you Sarah W. for capturing this picture of Lainey
It will always be one of my favorites!

Enjoy your day little princess as today it is all about you!

Singing Happy Birthday to the special girl!

Oh how she loved the attention!

Mulberry Lane Farm

We visited Mulberry Lane last year and fell in love with it! So when we discovered both Daddy's were going to be busy this past Sunday, my sister and I packed up our kids and head out for a day of fun.

While waiting for my sister to meet us we got busy in the corn bed.

And once they arrived the kids quickly got busy hugging, petting and holding every animal they could get their hands on!

I can't help but laugh at this picture, it  clearly shows how our day started to wear down. Mackenzie and her wind blow hair, Landon and his closed eyes and poor Sophia was so upset when we told them if they didn't shape up we were leaving.

After a little lunch break in the back of our truck, everyone calmed down, felt better and we headed out for more fun.

My lovely sister Shelley and her 2 little loves.

Attempt 1, photo bombed by Vinny man

Attempt 2, much better

It sure isn't easy to get all 4 kids to look the same direction at the same time, so I often take what I can get :)

We picked out the best of the best pumpkins, next comes the fun of carving them out!

Til next year Mulberry farm!
