Come and Gone way to quick!

The thing I hate most about throwing parties is you spend all this time preparing for them and before you know it, they are over.

I've been getting ready for my friends shower for the last month. Working like crazy on decorations and tweaking the final meal menu.

On Monday Megan sent me a text saying she had bad news. What is the bad news you may wonder. Well she went into preterm labor and got herself stuck in the hospital. Most people would freak and think what now, but luckily enough for me she was at the hospital we work at. So after a quick call I was able to get clearance to use one of the conference rooms at work. So now all I had to do was wheel her little bum down in the wheelchair.

I got everything all organized, loaded the truck and off to the hospital Mackenzie and I went.

Mackenzie and I went to work setting everything up just in time for our guests to arrive.

A coworker made up these super cute fruit baskets and I just had to share them.

The beautiful Momma to be and all her little helpers.

The party was great, we had an amazing turn out and everything was perfect! I am so grateful Megan was able to come and be showered with lots of goodies for her little loves by our amazing coworkers.

Now the question is what will I do next with all the free time I now have???

Done already

Football has come and gone yet again way to quick. They only play the 4 Saturdays in October. This year the rain and cold only allowed them to play 2 times. But to Michael those two times were heaven.

So we enjoyed the games he played and are looking forward to sitting on the bleachers for the Friday night games when he gets a little older.

Thank you Michael for wearing the red hat so we could see you better!

Keeping warm on a chilly October evening while enjoying the game.

And yes sometimes my crazy kids go out dressed up in costumes, honestly it is not worth the fight to make them take it off.

Happy Birthday Bug Bug!

My baby is not a baby anymore. Time always seems to slip on right by and before you know it that baby that you just brought home from the hospital yesterday is already turning 2.

There has never been a dull moment in our house since this little bug has started moving. And even though some days I wish I could keep her still for more than 5 minutes, I know if she was I'd be begging to add another to the house. So Lainey continue as you please, you are helping me realize that yes 4 is truly enough.

So a celebration we shall have in honor of your 2nd birthday!

Oh how you LOVED when we sang Happy Birthday to you, I don't that smile ever left your face through out the entire song.

Who needs presents when your brothers and sister throw tissue paper in the air??

Happy Birthday my Love, I'm looking forward to the next year of excitement and your never ending adventures.

Star wars

Heaven, is where my boys were after walking into this room.

A room full of Star Wars gear and plenty of characters playing the part. Oh how loved checking out the costumes and giving high fives, even Lainey had to jump out of her stroller each time to get that hand slap.

We took advantage of our Discovery World pass and headed over for the Star wars day.

We arrived in time to catch the costume parade. It was interesting to listen to each individual story of how long it took each person to make their own costume, and some of the odd things they used to make them with.

Off my troops must go to save Princess Leia...

I couldn't help but laugh when Landon said "Mom take our picture so it looks like we are running to the door'"
See they do like getting their pictures taken after all :)

Pumpkin Farm

Since our visit to the pumpkin farm got rained out ALL weekend, I could not help but take advantage of the early release at school today. Once the boys got off the bus, we hopped in the truck to try to beat the rain that was headed our way once again.

By the looks of their faces, it appears as if Landon was the only one excited to have his picture taken with the pumpkins. They really were all for it, I swear, I guess I just couldn't snap the smiles right this time.

As much as a hand full this little girl can sometimes be, her cuteness definitely makes up for it.

You can't go to a pumpkin farm without sticking your head in the cutouts.

I'm so grateful we made the trip. We returned home just in time for the rain to start and this weekend is going to be jammed FULL of fun, so we may not have made it to the farm this year.

Lainey, Lainey, Lainey

Not even home for 5 minutes, jacket still on and Miss Lainey happens to find a paint brush with paint on it in the garbage.

Yet again why you can not turn your back on this girl for a minute!

Party Prep

After a year of trying, my coworker and good friend of mine has finally been blessed with a pregnancy. Not only will she be blessed with one baby, but she will be blessed with two. She is having twins, a boy and a girl. I am so uber excited for her and she has agreed to let me throw her work baby shower, not like she any choice in it :)

So over the last few weeks, i've been gathering supplies and stalking her pinterest site to see just what she likes. The last 3 days I've been a busy little crafter putting everything together. She plans to paint the nursey a light shade of grey and accent with bright fun colors, so I did my best to find some fun bright colors.

This rose ball is not yet complete, I ran out of crepe paper, but thought it looked cool so far and didn't want to leave it out.

I can't wait to see it all put together at the "Sweets" table.

Future Gymnasts??

When the boys went back to school I promised the girls we would go to gymnastics. So now that it has been a month since school started I figured I'd better hold true on my promise.

Off to the gym we went.

It was great, we were the only ones there for the first 30 minutes so they had the run of the place. Eventually a few more kids showed up, only a total of 4 others, so it was nice not to be over crowded.

The open gym was an hour and a half long. I thought they'd only last 30 minutes, but they proved me wrong. We were there for the full hour and a half.

It had me tempted to sign them up for gymnastics. But I'm worried Lainey won't stay still long enough to pay attention. So for now we may just stick with the open gym and then think about getting them on a team later.  God knows the boys are in plenty of activities, I think its only fair we get the girls in some too.

Beware of the quiet...

This little girl was playing so well in her room yesterday. Upon going in to check on her I discovered why, she was letting her cheeks air out. Time to get some more duct tape :)

This evening while I was making dinner I lost Landon for quite some time. So after some searching I discovered him on the potty doing his duty. Clearly he knew it was going to be awhile and felt the need to pull in a table and colors. REALLY!?

Never a dull moment with her. Now she figured out how to open the fridge. Thanks Lainey, now you can throw them all away.

Pennies, Pennies everywhere!

Do you have the same problem I have? I swear every time I turn my head I find another penny, nickel, dime or quarter laying on the floor.

Enough of that I say. I put my crafting skills to use and came up with an idea for the kids.  It has been several years since we were at Disney, at least 3, since the last time we went it was just the boys. So I think its time to head back!

We just so happened to finish this jug of OJ today so I washed it out, made it look pretty and presented the idea to the kids. They loved it and ran to find their change to start filling it up. I made sure to tell them once they put the money in, they can't get it back out because I super glued it shut.

So from now on all the loose change we come across we will put it in our jar and once the jar gets filled up, off to Disney we go!

Hopefully for my sake it takes them a year to fill the jug, so I have time to save up for the trip.
